Mount Sibayak

The mountain is located at a height of 2.094 above sea level. The people of Batak Karo name this mountain “King’s Mountain” because Sibayak in Batak Karo language means king. At the foot of the mountain is hot spring which is often visited by travelers. The water contains sulfur, that makes the water have a strong scent to it. The natural state of the location is still preserved, bamboos and rattan surround the area. To reach the peak hikers can hike through a pathway that was officially built for hikers.

Location: To reach the mountain there are 2 routes, first through Brastagi town or Semangat Gunung village. Another from Medan with the Sinabung Jaya bus to Brastagi.
